The TEFI-2006 contest awards ceremony took place in Moscow on November 17 and November 23, 2006.
For the fifth time, along with the traditional awards – “TEFI Orpheus” statues – the contest’s winners in cultural-educational, publicist and informational nominations got special grants from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation. These grants provide a one-month training course at the BBC Corporation (London).
The following Russian TV programs became the grantees from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation:
- News program “Vesti Nedeli” (nomination: “Information and Analytical Program”);
- News program “Vremya” (nomination: “News Program”);
- Program “The Life Line” (nomination: “Program on Art”);
- Program “Solomon Mikhoels. 1947”, series “Historical Chronicles with Nikolay Svanidze” (nomination: “Program on History”);
- Program “Tsiolkovsly. The Expectation of Cosmos”, series “The Geniuses and the Demons of the Past Epoch” (nomination: “Program on Science”);
- “The Great Mystery of Water” (nomination: TV Documentary);
- “The Bomb’s Brotherhood” (nomination: TV Documentary Series).
