The Vladimir Potanin Foundation and Interros Publishing Program to Receive Applications for the 2008 «First Publications: Museum Rarities» Project.
The aim of the project is to give Russian museums an opportunity to publish information on their exhibits, which being stored in the archives, had never had a chance to become public. However these artworks have undeniable artistic, historic and scientific value. They deserve to be included into national and international cultural heritage.

First results of the project for museum professionals «First Publications: Museum Rarities» 2007 have been completed.

«A Changing Museum in a Changing World» Contest of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation and «Interros» Publishing Program to Launch the «First Publication» Project
The Project’s aim is to grant access to museums’ collections kept in storerooms and archives by publishing them. Those are collections, which practically have no chance to see light without a special request to see them, but deserve inscribing into national and world cultural context.

The best museum projects won the Vladimir Potanin Foundation’s grants.
On the 5th of June the award ceremony for the winners of the “A Changing Museum in a Changing World” grant contest took place. 405 museums from 67 regions of Russia participated in the Contest which was held for the forth time. The Contest jury chose 20 winners. The total amount of grants allocated for the 2007 Contest was $ 400,000.

Establishment of an Endowment – MGIMO Development Fund
Constituent meeting of the MGIMO development fund took place at the House of Receptions of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The Fund was established under the auspices of the Russian Foreign Minister, Chairman of the MGIMO Board of Trustees Sergei Lavrov in accordance with the Federal law «On establishment and use of purpose-oriented capital of a non-commercial organization», which came into force in January 2007.

French Ministry of Culture and Communications Awards Vladimir Potanin.
Today Vladimir Potanin was named an officer in the Order of Arts and Letters in Paris for his cultural contributions. The French Ministry of Culture and Communications granted the award.

As of now the charity organizations have the right to establish an income source for their social projects on their own.

The TEFI-2006 contest awards ceremony took place in Moscow on November 17 and November 23, 2006.

Winners of "A Changing Museum in a Changing World" grant contest will go on a study tour to the museums of the UK.
