The mission of the program, which was launched in 2000, is to improve the skills of future Mining and Metallurgical Company «Norilsk Nickel» specialists. The very best students of the Norilsk Industrial Institute (NII) receive pre-diploma practice at enterprises located in Finland, Sweden and Ireland.
Program nominees are identified through selection contest, and the key criteria are a good command of English, excellent academic performance and the prospective topic of the diploma paper. The contest’s winners get a unique opportunity of further broadening their knowledge, mastering professional skills, getting to know the cutting edge technologies, as well as comparing operational processes in Russia and abroad.
Since the beginning of the program more than 40 NII graduates visited mining/metallurgical enterprises in Finland, Sweden and Ireland.
